Around 23:22 hrs station 8 was dispatched for an alarm at 1248 E. Lincoln Hy. Chief 8 arrived onscene with smoke showing from a row strip center and had the assignment upgraded. This brought Ladder 31. The Box came out and brought ladders 21, 31, 8 engines 77, 7, 9 rescue 9 as RIT. Ladder 31 arrived second and went to side C to set up main and go to the roof to check for extension. The crew was told to stay off roof and bring manpower up to side A. Fire was knocked in about 10 minutes by the engine company and the Ladder was available half hour later.
